Hi everyone,
I'm Phil from Merseyside, Plumber by day and Drummer in spare time, play in a 10 piece soul band. So Range Rover with seats down is as big as a good van.
Also always very busy with DIY with an extension on the go at the minute, very handy, plumbing, electrics, bricking, bit of plastering, decorating ect.
About 10 years ago used to restore Triumph TR7's especially convertibles, don't laugh it wasn't a government initiative i really loved them.
Change of personal circumstances led me to hang up the spanners and that was the end of that.
Always fancied a Range and as i was doing my best not to have a van, (very hard as a plumber) 2 years ago bought a Freelander, still got it, well wife has it now, boot wasn't big enough so i blagged her that the only way forward was the Range, took plunge 2 months ago and bought a 2.5 DTSE 2001. Happy motoring till last week, but i'm not that familiar with diesels.
I think of my Range Rover as a little girl, she sulks if not clean (electric gremlins pop up) then if not driven like the Queen she tries to lock me out and plays with central locking when parked, never known any vehicle to be as possessed as this.
It Must have been a little girl in a previous life.
Now she's not alway firing on all cylinders when on tickover, then again sometimes she does........ should have bought a male car. At least a kick in the balls would change it's ways.....
Anyway that's me and the Range, oh and not let's forget the freelander, she's fab never lets me down....... oh appart from the head gasket, but she's petrol and i speak her language.
Take care all.....Phil
