I am a 63 year old retired Freelander lover based in Canterbury but originally from Glasgow. My wife wanted a 4 x 4 last year for the bad weather and fell in love with a 52 reg Freelander ES TD4. I love tinkering with cars, I maintain my Mercedes S320 CDI and my wife's Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC (summer car).
Now I spend most of my time on the Freelander. So far I have given it two oil changes added a KN air filter, a synergy 2 chip, upgrade to engine breather, four new glow plugs, a new leak of pipe fro the injectors, new fuel pump and filter and the local garage added four new tyres and a new aircon pump. I've also done the brakes front and back and changed the oil in everything except the auto box. I've also changed all filters and breathers. The auto box will be next now I can measure the oil temperature with my HawkEye monitor.
I've also bought new front shockers and springs to change once the weather gets a bit warmer.
The old tank is running beautifully
I love your site and have gleaned lots of excellent information from reading most of your earlier forum inputs. An excellent forum please keep it up.
