hello To All Of You Landrover Owners We Have Had Lots Of Them And Think That The Discovery Is A Perfect Drive But At The Moment We Drive A Normal Car Which Is To Low To The Ground And The Discovery We Have At The Mment Will Not Start Because Of The Starter Motor We Have A Diesel Autmtic And We Have Owend This For 2 Months But Never Driven It Yet Take Care All Hope Someone Can Help Us With Or Problem :d
 
Hi and welcome if your discovery will start from a jumpstart then it sound like a dead battery. try changing the battery and see if this cures the problem. failing that it sounds like a sticking solenoid
 
Just had a thought you say you have never driven the disco, have you ever had it running? or tried turning the engine over? If not it may be worth checking that the engine isn't seized. By using a socket on the crankshaft pulley or on the alternator pulley and trying to turn the engine over.

;) THE REASON WE COULD NOT GET THE STARTER TO WORK WAS WE PUT THE RING GEAR DRIVE PLATE ON THE WRONG WAY EASY MISTAKE TO DO BUT THANKS FOR ALL THAT HELPED :D DEBBIE
