Hi all,
Recently bought a 110 with tipper and 200tdi conversion and lots of work needed! Done lots of welding so far, clutch change, rear output bearing, cambelt, wheel bearings, brakes and plenty of other bits. Been getting good advice from this site for a few weeks now but only just registered so a thanks are in order!

Now will probably get in trouble for not posting in the right area but can someone please tell me if its normal when turning the rear output shaft with the handbrake drum I am getting a light click clunk sound from the centre diff/transfer box, no different high low or neutral but with the diff locked it stops. I am hoping that this is normal and im just being paranoid however when I got it all back together (no doors or floor hah) took if for a spin and while accelerating a bit quick got a louder kind of clacking sound kinda like a slack uj or similar which im hoping it was but worried the 2 are related?

Any advice or possible sound causes much appreciated..... now crapping myself thinking im gona have to shift the gertbox again.....

Cheers,
Josh

If your turning it by hand then it will feel all klunky and loose etc ! Has it got ep 90 oil?? The centre diff is a big old chunk of steel and all the shafts and bearings have some tolerance built in ! Also when running most of the slack is taken up !!
It is possible to have worn input shaft splines and these can get noisy when selecting forward or reverse etc !! Check oil and try it!! It will let you know if there's a problem !!! Clunky is quite normal !! Good luck!!
