hi,my names darren,im new to this paticular forum.hoping to meet some new friends here.i own a disco td5 xs(51 plate).great car, love it to bits.its my first land rover,so, im a total novice realy.unfortunately, after 6 months of hassel free motoring,i have had to book it in to ard in driffield.its got a missfire.i can feel knocking through the gas pedal, and the car rocks from side to side when this happens.it never happens from cold.it only ever happens when i turn off the ignition from warm and restart it again(from warm).im told it needs both wiring carnesses replacing,as oil has tracked down the wiring loom to the ecu(no harm done to ecu)total cost of repair,£500 aprox.it goes in on tuesday 18th,so wish me luck.its the aprox im worried about.....
darren:(

can't see how oil on the wiring harness would make it missfire, especially as you say no harm to the ecu

dont know myself.as i say im a complete novice.all i know is both ard and stratstone l/r came up with the same diagnosis, along with members of other forums.

Well, the first F stands for "for" and the S stands for "sake" ~ can't remember what the middle F stands for...

My My, how about working this out, ****er yourself **** go.

Can't see the point in tossers like you even bother joining a forum ....

Outata here, just gonna spread the good news to decent Landrover forums to stay the **** away from this load of ****e ...

Now go back to your Playstation wannabe game (your Mammy would never let you have a real Landrover to play with)

ROFLMFAO .. (Work it out) :D

wannabe playstation and you with the name of donkey kong. just **** orf till you can think of something good/bad to say. yer preselect put downs don't work here cos we tend to think up our own to suit the arsehole that it is intended for. but i suppose that kind of thing , (thinking), will be beyond you.

I never did like Bridlington.

Hornsea's much better it's twinned with La Grande Motte.

Errrrrrr I can think of something good to say actually.

This is the most juvenile and ill informed forum that it has ever been my misfortune to come across. How the moderators can let a forum such as this hide under the heading of "Landrover" is pretty amazing.

Do you think that flaming newcomers is a good and brave thing to do? I notice that attempts to reign in the idiots have fallen on deaf ears, but that is what you expect when the main culprits of this abhorrent behaviour have spent the rest of their day at school trying to bunk off lessons.

I doubt that the flamers are old enough to have a driving licence let alone a Landrover.

Lets be pragmatic about it, it is very unlikely that they have been able to remove their hand from their flaccid little cock long enough to pass a driving test.

Laugh My ****ing Arse Off (I have spelt it in full as I don't want to tax your one working braincell, you need that to be a cabbage)

:p :p :p :p

Oil in the injector harness causes a misfire doesn't affect the ecu
Injectors also pack up and cost a fortune:(

so where is this something good you got to say?? all we have had from you are ill informed opinions about people you know **** all about. so why don't you just shut up and read the threads where our collective knowledge have helped people , not unlike yerself, save money and keep their landies running because they themselves don't possess the required knowledge.
and if you don't the style of homour that come with it then **** orf.
