Hi everyone.
I have just bought a 2001 TD4 with 141K on the clock. I know it has some issues so hopefully i will be able to work through them with the help of people on here. I have only had the car for 1 hr checked all the windows etc all worked fine, i dropped the bloke off that i bought the car from and now the front drivers side window won't come up. Tyipical. If i press the button it moves a couple of mm in either direction. I have tried to lift the window and press the button but it wont move. From reading on here it sound like the mechanism? Is there a way to get the window up manually?
Sorry have had to mention a problem on my first post.
 
Hi there sorry to give you bad news but they are a load of crap !!! If you can afford to put it right then you would have been better off buying a real Landrover !!!
After you have spent a small fortune on it it will still be rubbish , don't let that put you off !!
 
It just over engineered with poor quality throughout !! Switch gear, wiring loom , **** engine and drivetrain !! Very poor example of British / foreign manufacturing , designed to break and keep dodgy dealers in business!!! Get a nice early defender 200 or300 !!
Much better to use and you can easily repair them too !!!!!!!!!
Personally I wouldn't want it if it was free !!!! They're that good !

Well at least i ve bought a well respected motor? thank f&*k for that lol. Looks like i will have plenty of work in the future. Thanks for the intro boys :)

I am not defeated yet? i take it you don't rate these freelanders then PMSL. Good job i only bought it for shopping and getting my nails done. Sound like i am going to reck a few nails though pushing it LOL

On the positive side it looks like its a good crack on here, so at least we can have a laugh whilst i fix the freelander. merry christmas to you all
