Hi all, I've just brought a series 2a with a diesel engine no; 15J, I cannot find any information regarding changing over from diesel to petrol ( nothing wrong with diesel but I have all ways had and worked on petrol vehicles). I have been told the block from the diesel is the same used for HJ petrol engines?
Can you landy folks tell me if a cylinder head change is a answer to my problem??
But if anyone has a petrol engine foe sale please let me know.
This is the first time I have been on a forum so please forgive me if I'm being a nob.

Hi Billyslandy,

Welcome to the loonyzone,
Now you have intro'd yourself , you may be better served by dropping your question into the Series landrover section, as you will find more people there who have the same vehicle and may know the answers, altho' i am sure a few will answer here as well.

Here is a link to the Series section.

Good luck, and one thing we do like is piccies.....:)

Cheers

Not sure about that model of engine but a swop with a 2.25 petrol engine is a no brainer. I'd try to get hold of a complete unit with carb dizzy etc. Advisable to get at least the cylinder head refurbished. With that you'd have a fine original setup.
