Hi all

Thought I'd join the forum, I'm "borrowing" my dads Freelander TD4 Kalahari for the rest of the year - the jammy so-and-so has bagged several months working abroad and wants it to be looked after and not left in a car park to rot/seize up!

Dont have any experience of Land Rovers but I'm quite handy with a set of spanners (but hopefully wont need to be!) and thought the collective wisdom of a forum might not be a bad idea!

The names Jim, and I live on the West Coast of Scotland. I'm an engineer in the RN.

So, stand by for a barrage of silly questions once I've picked it up in a couple of weeks (I might not be able to resist the temptation to tweak, twiddle, upgrade etc once I get my mitts on it!)

was at Faslane in the 80s - 90s is the Imps still open in Helensburgh?

Nah the Imps shut down a couple of years ago and hasnt ever reopened - the last time I was in there they had a pole installed at the back of the bar room. There was never any lassies on it though, just fat sh*ters matelots!

Cowdenbeath hasn't changed much in 10 years just more closed shops.
