Hi all,

I'am Jon from Norfolk, had an account on here years ago but long since lost the info for it so have started a new one and thought i had better introduce myself a again. I have had/worked on and built land rovers for years and currently there are 4 on my drive,
2006 tdv6 Range Rover Sport which is my daily/towing/off road/green lane car handful of basic mods done underbody skid plates, 2" lift rods, rock sliders, m/t tyres and a remap

1994 Range Rover soft dash classic had a light resto/derusting then fitted with a merc OM606 diesel fitted, 7.7mm pump, gaz fab adaptor plate, Ashcroft stage 1 auto box, straight through side pipe. currently it has a standard turbo with 1.5 bar actuator but soon to be a k2 hybrid so i can really destroy the drive train. she look pretty standard but goes really well surprise's a lot of people on the road.

1954 Series 1 86" 2L petrol, building for my father and currently a pile of bits until i can source a chassis and bulkhead for a sensible price.

Lastly my latest project and a total impulse eBay purchase, a 1975 6x6 Range Rover don't know much about its history except it was converted into a ice cream truck at some point in the 80's from what i assume is a Carmichael chassis but for what i understand they where mostly 6x4, this has a drive through center axle so hopefully there are some knowledgeable people here who might be able to tell me a bit more about it. My plan for this project may upset some people but it has spent the last 30 years on a welsh beach, The body has such deep rust it is not recoverable but the chassis is still sound, also restoring an ice cream van is not particularly interesting to me. So the plan is to fit a defender double cab pick up body keeping the 100" wheelbase to the middle axle. I will do a build thread on it as i think it will be an interesting project.

Just need an Evoque for the full house

Not sure I would go that far into softroaders, although have had a td4 hippo in the past. Was never even intending to keep the sport but came up very cheap started using it for towing and laning and was really impressed with it, could go places even on road tyres that the td5 d2 on at's I had at the time would struggle with. Couple of years and 25k miles later its been a fantastic motor.

Welcome back to the forum :)
Are you a member of Breckland LR Club? (We've only just joined and will be exhibiting at Aylsham on 8th August).
Hopefully you'll get that S1 under cover soon! :)
