Warthog110

Hey everyone! We're missionaries in Kenya, and after two years of struggling in the rainy season with a 2WD van, we finally scraped enough together to buy a 1989 Defender 110. It's actually in good shape, and in a couple of months we'll be swapping out the 2.5L Petrol engine for a 300 Tdi turbocharged diesel.

Any vehicle that has been in Africa for long is riddled with terrible patch jobs and fixes (i.e. copper wire or aluminum where a fuse should be). I'll be asking for a lot of advice as I wade through the mess, especially electronics. I'm looking forward to your assistance helping me figure out how things are *supposed* to be!

Ha, ha...'specially 'cause I'm a gal...probably not too many of us in the world tinkering around with Rovers. But you won't find many girly-girls in Africa either. :D
