As the title say's 'hello from france'
This is my first visit to the site, absolute beginner (this includes getting my head round a computer).
Moved to the South West of France (from Chester) three years ago. Have had my Landy 110 CSW for just over four years, it's an early 'N' reg. and have started having problems with the immobiliser. Did I hear a lot of groans then !!
Have found a couple of 'work-arounds', but would really like to wire it out.
Can anyone offer any help/advise?

a bientot
Peter

salut! (mon franciais cest terrible, parce-que je travaille ca dans mon ecole, pardon!) yeah, get rid of the alarm! this seems to be a notorius problem for defenders, alarms/immobilisers, and everything that goes with them! this is pretty 'Merde' advice, but no doubt one of the guys who know more about this will reply to your post soon. welcome mate. Rob

Hi Rob,
your french speak is a whole lot better then mine! Thanks a lot for the response.Have pretty much decided to wire out the immobiliser but am curious of the pitfalls (of which i'm sure there are many) Hopefully somebody has done the deed before and can steer me clear of the nasties!
The French seem to have a fascination with the Defender (don't we all) and I'm often asked where he is, (en francais le quatre-quatre) whenever he is 'in dock'.
Don't want to let the side down.........common guy's whats the word!
Thanks for the welcome Rob.
cheers Peter

no problem mate, if you post your first post on a different part of this forum for example the landrover questions or something, then they will answer a lot faster then in the introductory part! cheers Rob
