Hello all,
I've been following the Twitter feed and found it interesting so thought I'd come and join in the fun.
I learnt to drive in my Dad's LWB series IIa in the 70's and have been hankering after my own Land Rover ever since. I finally fulfilled my dream in 2009 when I got a 1985 90 pick up and have been working on getting her just right ever since. She came with a galvanised chassis and a 200 tdi fitted so is not original but is now a reliable old girl.
She's used mainly for light field work at the weekends and towing a mid 60's twin axle trailer with all manner of different loads, it's funny how many friends you get when you have a Land Rover and a trailer.
I try and do as much of my own maintenance as possible but I know my limitations so occasionally resort to a local independent garage.
I'm sure I will be asking some silly questions along the way in my quest to learn but I hope that on occasion I can offer others help as well.
