Hello all!

I am starting my work on my 2001 P38 4.6 HSE. I figured I would join your forum as you all seem to be quite helpful and knowledgeable on here.

The current issue I am attempting to tackle and will take to the forums for is to correct my SRS and Aribag Fault.

The current issue: My Nanocom will communicate with all systems except the Airbag SPS2 therefor I am unable to diagnose the fault with the airbag at this time. I will need to fix the ODB port/ECU communication error to get rolling. Your advice will be welcome. Thanks you in advance.

Welcome and good luck with your truck.
The folks on here are very knowledgeable and helpful and have certainly helped me with advice.

Hi and welcome, it's often the connector under the seat
Yes, I have looked at those connections for the SRS light with no luck. I still need to sort out why the Nanocom is not speaking with the ECU for the airbag but everything else seems to be in order when communicating with the ECU.

There's a couple of 'boxes' under the RHS kick panel, at least on the RHD car, one is cruise related, the other is SRS related, give it a wiggle

Did ter get it resolved?
Unfortunately no, I have not yet figured it out. I have done over all the yellow connectors except the ones in the dash. I reviewed the shop manual and it expressly warns against using a micrometer on the SRS equipment to test. I will check the few connectors under the dash and then I suppose I am left going to the dealer? She will not pass inspection with an airbag fault. If only my Nanocom would communicate with the SRS ECU I would have a clue but I am lost.
