Afternoon all,
I've been lurking for a while on these here forums, and you've helped me sort out quite a few bits and pieces already :bounce:
I acquired a 51 plate TD4 about 6 weeks ago without any service history, and it's the best car I've had. OK - I've had to do some work on it (it's in Mondo mode at the moment as the VCU was well and truly on the way out), and I've had the thermostat done by the local garage (didn't fancy 5 hours laying on a cold drive for that one).
Pretty much everything else I can do myself if I've got the time, so wasn't too worried about the lack of history (although looking at it, it's been looked after).
So far, blanked the EGR, replaced the crank case breather, re-sealed the fuel lift pump in the tank, got various electrics working again - the job list is starting to get smaller
Hopefully I'll be able to help people as well now I'm registered
