Hi there, thought it would be a good idea to get on LZ after recently acquiring my first Landy.
It's a 1987 110 van that my father-in-law bought 13 years ago, and converted into a camper van for weekend diving trips to Scotland.
Due to ill health, the Landy was left parked in his garden for almost three years. We got it in March, and with a little help from a friend, got it back on the road in May.
New rear shocks, a rear wheel bearing, some electrical work, a full service and a good clean did the job and I've racked up 2000 trouble-free miles.
The bodywork is generally pretty good, except for a rotting drivers door bottom. The chassis is really solid and has been waxoyled from new.
Next job is to replace the leaking fuel tank (only leaks if over half full) and replace the ancient tyres, which are cracked and crazing.
Biggest job will be to exchange the asthmatic TD engine for a 200tdi. So if anyone in NW England is getting rid of a complete engine and ancillaries, or a rotted Disco, please let me know!
