I'm Jodie. 33 year old girl
I used to have a beloved 1 series (diesel conversion) to tow my horses around with a matching vintage horse trailer but sadly it died 10 years ago and I didn't have the knowledge to resuscitate so sold to a man that did.
Went out and brought myself an old freelander td4, 3 days ago, on a whim as I have always fancied one and it was (very) cheap! Obviously because it has the usual starting problems and knocking on turning, you know what it's like without me even having to say. Spent a few hours on this wonderful forum yesterday and some trial and error, I haven't spent a penny on it or replaced anything, the knocking is fixed (maybe only temporarily) and when it refuses to warm start I know how to tinker and get it going again in seconds! Which is brilliant as I had to sleep in it the first night of owning it because it wouldn't start to drive home! Haha. The joys.
I also wanted to say a huge thanks to Adrian Flux, who have been nothing short of brilliant after a three day ordeal trying to transfer my previous cars insurance policy with go skippy! 6 hours on hold and 10 disconnections in one day! Grrr. Thank goodness for the lovely ladies at Adrian Flux, not only polite and efficient but also the best price by far.
So, looking forward to the pleasure of driving and tinkering with my new baby... and pestering you guys with silly questions... obviously
