Hi every one/any one. I'm new to all this landrover stuff. Have longed for a discovery 200tdi for years and now I have an opertunity to get hold of one. Just looking for a few pointers as to what to look out for.

The disco is a 200tdi with 167k on the clock has just had a new head gasket and a recon gearbox. The body panels are all free from rust(amazingly) and the previous owner has sorted all the major problem areas- as far a novice can tell. New boot floor, rear wheel arches etc.

Its also has had a 2" lift and has a steering guard fitted.

There is one small hole in the pasenger front side inner wheel arch but i think this may be quite easy to cut out and repair- bar that it seams solid

I've taken it off roading just before christmas and got suck in quite deep water for around 15min could there be any damage to the diffs? there are currenty no extended breathers (?) and I dont want to end up with a massive bill to replace or repair. It hasnt move move then 100miles since the water off road fun if that makes any difference.

Sorry for the long drawn out questions, any help/advice would be welcome.

Thanks,

Aloof

:welcome: I would drain the axles and put fresh oil in they will no doubt have quite a bit of water in which won't do them any good

thanks for the advice- I'll not eat the yellow snow- thought it tasted a bit funny.

i'll drain the axels- is it quite a simple diy job??
