Hey everyone, due to a love for defenders since I was a wee boy, I've always wanted to have my own. So I dropped out of university this summer in order to start a couple a land rover catering business, which also gives me an excuse to get a defender.
I've been planning on buying a 127/130 ambulance and converting it into a small coffee bar to start with. I've been given mixed advice regarding the typical weight of one, with some people telling me they have a maximum gross weight of over 3.5 tonnes. If this is the case, would it be possible to downplate the vehicle in order to avoid having to get my C1 license as I passed my test after January 1997. Would really appreciate some advice.
