Hi all,

My name is Amrik and I am originally from South Devon but live in the midlands for uni.

I have joined this site for helping me look after the land rover i am driving at the moment.

I have been lent a 2002 Land Rover discovery td5 until next year from my parents. Since I wrote off my last car the land rover has been quite an odd car to drive.

I currently have a question about a problem that has arose recently. The discovery has a flashing odometer!! The mileage still clocks but the meter flashes at a constant frequency. I have taken it to my parents local 4x4 specalists but they checked the electrical system and could not find any faults.

Does anybody have ideas? Land rover dealership is quite far and expensive so any tips will be appreciated.

Hi and welcome. Can't help you with the speedo but if you post it in the discovery section you might have more luck.

Sorry it is the south! I am from South Devon so please excuse my error. According to wikipedia, Oxford is in the North of "The South" (and also in the midlands!)

However
is an area of England which broadly corresponds to the early-medieval kingdom of Mercia. The area lies between Southern England, Northern England, East Anglia and Wales, and its largest city is Birmingham.

The name does not correspond to any current administrative area, and there is therefore no strict definition. However, it is generally considered to include the counties of Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. The 2001 census included Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire in the Midlands, though East Anglia (the collective name for these counties) is not usually considered part of the Midlands
