hi , my name is rick and im from bolton , ive been a range rover owner since the late 80`s having had both petrol and diesel model classics and also p38`s .
i sold my last p38 about 3 yrs ago and always regretted it since then ive been running mitsubishi`s and although a good reliable motor they arn`t a range rover .
so i decided to buy another but not an up and running one , thats too easy it had to be one needing work ( i love a challenge ) .
after a bit of searching i found one locally that needs an mot , and its down on its bump stops there are a couple of other minor issues but nothing too drastic .
the repairs dont bother me in the slightest as ive been a diesel mechanic for over 40 yrs so nothing much fazzes me really .
i was a member here previously but could log in on my old details so i had to re-register .
the car ive bought has more good points than bad , its on multi point lpg which works fine , it runs lovely and without issue and apart from its last keeper appears to have been very well looked after .
its also sat on the later style 19" alloys which are like brand new .
i dont like to see these vehicles get neglected and the sold on to be broken for parts and given the fact im semi retired with lots of time on my hands this is an ideal project for a few weeks .
ive just ordered the software and cable for the eas so that will be my first job but no doubt i`ll be on here with a few quieries  .
thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings , oh and if anyone is breaking a 4.6 hse localish ( 50 mls radius ) give me a shout please i may need some bits , especially if its gunmetal grey with limestone interior cheers .
