hello,
I've been rebuilding my 1996 defender 90 300tdi but I'm stuck. There's a hella relay on the front bulkhead in the engine bay with a brown fused feed, black earth which is screwed behind the relay. Then two blue wires which for some reason I haven't labelled or taken a picture of where they were attached. I've pictures for every thing else just not these. I've looked online but can't find any information. Any help would be fantastic. Cheers

A pic would help.
Relay will be connected to a switch somewhere inside usually and then other relay wires goto unit that needs a fair amount of power.
Could also be electric fan relay if fitted.

Sounds exactly like a spotlight wiring setup, especially as it's a Hella relay.
Ah, I've been looking over wiring diagrams for ages and couldn't find it anywhere. I stripped the Landy down last year but I'd forgotten it had two old spots on an A bar which I sold on eBay. The relay must be for the old spots and an add on which is why it's not on a wiring diagram. It all makes sense now. Many thanks I've spent days trying to work out what the hell it powered.
