Hi all have just started to replace the height sensor on a disco 2 (nightmare) bolts corroded and the one on the radius arm has sheared so i decided to drill it out and now the drill broke inside the hole so at the moment i have a zip tie holding the sensor arm in place any ideas? i also noticed the bush on the front of the arm is perished is it worth getting a new arm or just remove and replace all the bushes?

Can you drill from the other side and punch it out? Very thin pointed pliers into the drill flutes? A very small hole saw in a guide (no centre drill) to go over the broken drill?
I must ass all of these are absolute pigs to do with a low prospect of success, but they are all there is unless you can get your hands on a spark erosion kit.

These aren’t through a threaded hole, so you should be able to knock it out with a decent punch. The other two are wee short bolts on the body of the sensor. Did you remember to disconnect the battery ?
