bec i have land rover discovery v8 3.5 petrol
please help
i am first time i join this room.:)

First check the pipework under the bonnet leading too the heater matrix, they should be hot when the engine is warmed up. If they are not check your coolant level (it may be low), if levels are ok and pipe work is cold you may have a blockage in one of the pipes or the matrix.

hiya
yeah i did buy rad flush twice and still nothing happned that how it damage my radiator that why i bought new radiator so never again buy rad flush. it cost me 350 pound radiator it very hard to find second hand bec this land rover is rare.
so i will try flush hose pipe to see any blockage from matrix pipe..is it easy to see any block...if not...erm maybe rid of it and buy another one.

if youve had the rad off theres a good chance their might be a air lock in your heater matrix. try losening one of the top pipes to see if any air comes out.
could it be something simple like the heater hot/cold vent stuck in the cold postion !!
or if the rad flush has ruined your rad, chances are its ruined your heater matrix to.
but hey, its a disco and its not gona get that warm any way.

Muddee will be about right - airlock - especially after you drained your system! If it's matrix blocked you usually get some degree of warmish air. Simple things first is the general rule! Good luck

I have a feeling there is something electrical between the heater control switch and the flap that diverts/allowes hot air flow or cold air flow, I'm having problems with mine being intermittant and keep hearing relays clicking just havn't had time to get under the dash/floor panals to see. (it's been too cold to be mucking around out there).

if you feel the pipes into the matrix they should both be hot, if one is cold you definately have an air lock/blockage. the best thing to do is leave the engine running and remove the rad cap(carefully) leave it like this for 5-10 mins and it will force the airlock out. hope this helps ;)

I would disagree with MUDDEE, my heater on my '92 V8 pumps out buckets of heat, just as well it has an air con in it. :)
