Got a broken heater valve cable and they are now obsolete . Can anyone help me find another?

can you not make one up? im assuming is made of similar stuff to brake/clutch cable?

Dont know about making one. Think its a bit thinner than the clutch cable looks to be about 1.5mm.

Yes it does. Looks to be the easiest way to just replace the inner. That way there should be only two screws/clamps to undo - one on the valve on top of the block and one on the control lever.

Cheers Foss. A mate has just come up with a choke cable from a series which he thinks may fit, its about the same diameter. We shall see in the morning:rolleyes:

Go down to your local cycle shop. Buy a length of bicycle brake cable ( can be bought in whatever length you need ) and use it. As far as I am aware they are all the same diamiater.

Problem solved :):)
A mate came up with a "new" (he bought it 10 years ago and never used it) Series 11A choke cable which fits beautifully even though it is about half a mil smaller.
When replacing it I noticed that the oil breather pipe was broken, wondered where all the oi was coming froml  (rubbed against the air hose)these are now also obsolete but a visit to the local HGV hose distributor gat a nice RED replacement - not standard but it does look nice :)
Thanks for everyones help.

Pikefly.
