I’m in the middle of changing my heater motor- such fun!

When I removed the heater unit the rubber pipe from the valve on the side wasn’t connected to anything. Any ideas where it should go?

If it a vacuum hose then it’s part of the RECIRCULATING control, that’s where the outside world is shut off from entering the cab on some models of D1.

That sounds right, but any idea what the other end of the hose connects to?!
Nope, never had to go there. Butt the heater end would be at the switch or the damper. As for the engine end that will depend on the model, engine and year, the hose could enter into the engine bay through the firewall somewhere near the washer bottle on a RHD vehicle.

If not a vac hose then is a AC drain hose from the back of the ac/heater matrix, that would be brain damage to get access.

All fixed. Makes a satisfying “pssshhh” noise when activated now, which it didn’t before!
