Searched but didn't find anything.

I have 2007 D90 and the heater blows hot just fine on the drivers side but only cold air is blowing thru on the passenger side.

Any suggestions? This is a new problem so didn't know what might have happened to cause this.

Thanks.

My guess would be that the Heater Duct Hose or the Y Piece Tube to Fascia Louvre section has become detached hence the lack of heat to the vents – easy fix if you have smallish hands.

I'll have a look at the tube and see what's what. Don't really know if I can see anything without taking it apart. Is there an easy way to see if this is the case?

At least my side is nice and warm!

Cheers.

With the fan on, is the hotter side blowing more powerfully than the colder side? If so have you tried blocking the hotter side vents to see if the hot air is pushed to the colder side. As has been said, i would have said dissconected or kinked pipes. If the pipes are kinked the air will go in the pipe with less resistance.

The right (colder) side is a little less. I would expect that if it dissconected there would be no air at all coming out. Could be wrong but...I did block it off this morning and the air out of the right side did warm up a bit so must be a kinked pipe? I will check the tubes but there are so many and I don't know which one would be the issue but will have a look before I head to the dealer.

Thanks for the help.

on another note i have a 1990 d90 and none of my blowers seem to get very hot warmish but in this weather thats no good any suggestions on why this is ??

Mine are toastie in my D90 but take a while to warm up in this weather
No need to rub it in mate ;) I drove 20 miles from cold towing a 3 ton trailer and I could f*rt hotter than what was supposed to be demisting my windscreen.

I slid a piece of cardboard down between my radiator and intercooler and things seem a tad warmer but not sure if its just wishful thinking.

You lucky gits!!

My heater packed in a couple of years ago, and now the heater control lever has seized. I can only dream of only getting ****y luke warm air through it!

Think you might either need a new thermostat or your heater box looking at!

Mine blows nice and hot within 10 mins of normal driving, if I work it by towing or hitting the motorway etc. then I can't hold my hands over the screen vents it gets that hot!

Block the Rad off and remove the fan.

Funnily enough I get the same problem. Hot on both screen vents and lower drivers side, but cold on the passenger side lower vent. The girlfriend complains and I am yet to do anythig about it.

Let us know what you find if you do take the dash apart.

It had a new rad, new stat, and new heater matrix when I fitted the new engine just over two years ago. All heater vents and flaps are OK and heater fan is blowing for england. Its never had a cooling fan fitted as I used the leccy fan from the defunct air con which never cuts in even in the summer months. I've slid a piece of cardboard between the rad and intercooler but it seems to have made no real difference. I'm pretty sure the stat is working because the the top hose goes between warm and hot as it opens and closes. Your guess is as good as mine.

My heater works when it wants! A good whack to the dash or kick to the fuse box sometimes sorts it!
But then I quite like these characteristics of the def!

Not gonna lie and say its too hot to touch but it warms up the 90 van style in half hour of normal driving and about 15-20mins towing or motorway and run a viscous fan???

It's never been bad since I've owned it, heater box looked brand new (genuine) before I brought it two years ago.

Might want to check the pipes to the box ain't blocked or something cos that don't sound right!?!?!
