I have an 02 reg freelander 1, some months ago I noticed a greasy mist on the passenger side windscreen, it will not wipe off with a cloth it needs glass cleaner or soapy water, 2 days later its back.

2 weeks a go I had the aircon regassed and pollen filter replaced, still no difference, it is not a run of the mill dampness that will wipe off or clear with the aircon on.

A former LR mechanic friend of mine thinks I should take the fan out of the heater box and clean it, you can see by looking at the screen the mist/grease comes up through the screen vent.

Any ideas please

Leaking heater matrix?

My car would steam up as it warmed up. No amount of wiping the windows or screen would make it go away. I had the heater matrix replaced as it was leaking. Now no condensation.
