Morning All,

I'm reconditioning my heater and trying to remove this trunnion from an old donor heater that I have.

2 x 7mm spanners and it's not moving.

Anyone ever managed to get one off, or are they fixed in place somehow?

In a captive nut? Heat is your friend. Blast with blow lamp will often free.

Yes, the MAPP is my first call, but I don't want to use gas so close to the foam sealing pads on the flaps.
It's now soaking in paraffin.

That washer will prise off so you only have the metal work to heat. Washer is pressed on the shaft
Mark the orientation of the arm & remove

I only want the trunnion out, not the arm off the shaft.
I'm scavenging it for my nearly-new heater that will be fitted shortly.

Well in that case do what @Hicap phill says above, then put arm back after. NOT rocket science.
