Hi guys,

First post so bear with me!

I have a 55 plate Freelander and on my last drive the air con started to play up, as in when I pressed the button the light came on and it kicked in briefly but then the light went off.

I've come to drive it this morning and no air con at all but also I'm getting nothing from any of the heater controls.

Will this be something as simple as the air con needing re gassing and a new resistor pack for the heater? Or something more damaging to my wallet?

Cheers,

Matt

Have you checked the fuse? Might be something as simple as that if air con and heater not working. Also check the switch is working with a multi meter.

Hi,

Not had chance to check anything yet as it's only happened this morning as I've driven to work.

Fuse had crossed my mind with all 4 settings not working, I'd had a problem with the heater on my previous car which was fixed by sorting the resistor pack out so was just the first thing that came to mind.

Thanks!

Always start simple and work from there. Unlikely to be the switch as it was running when it packed in. If a switch it would probably not have turned on/off from the start.

Check fuses first.

Connections to the blower motor - that is where mine went wrong? Also I had a problem with theh air con switch going in, coming on, but then not staying 'clicked' in. Ordered a new switch.
