Curious to know. Has anyone tried the £25 heated seat pads from ebay etc? Do they last ok and how do they compare to the much more expensive ones from the likes ot Exmoor Trim and others?

They are all pretty much the same, ie they all come from the far east
Theres really only two types, the wire style which has wire weaved along the heat pad and the carbon type.
I have fitted a few of the wire type and all of them take a little while to get your bum warm, but they do work and are still working years later.
Mate fitted the carbon ones and he reckoned they were much quicker to heat up.

I think the ones I fitted were waeco? just looked over 100 quid for two seats fcuk that!
Dead easy to strip the seat on the defenders, new base foam is a good investment.

Here you go carbon ones, two seats worth for 20 quid, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Seats-...763801?hash=item593051e919:g:1A0AAOSwBfhb0r6L

Worth stripping the seat bases and replacing the base foams anyway, regardless of whether you're fitting heaters. Defender seats are reasonably comfortable provided the base foam isn't crumbling into dust, which most are.
