Hi
Just a quick question where abouts do the wires for the screen connect to it are they inside behind the pillar plastic or are they outside under the black scuttle panel under the screen.I need to know so i can check for a power feed as only half the screen is working.I know the screen could be broke but i want to check out things before i get a new screen and of course the half that works is the passenger side.Have checked the fuses and they are ok

Put em wherever you like its a Landrover, no two are the same!

Ooop's just seen you've got a Gaylander, now most of those are the same.

Thanks for the reply don't really tell me where the wires are though, just been outside to have a look and just as my hands fell off i saw a brass monkey and a polar bear walk past :)

the wires are under the plastic trim below windscreen on the outside in each corner, the clips holding trim on are b/....ards to get out the inner bit pulls out first, did you check both fuses under the bonnet and check windscreen for damage stonechips, etc and let the polar bears get out of the way before you check

Tried to get on of the clips off but it was that cold i gave in will have a look when it gets a bit warmer the screen has no marks on it at all so am hoping its just a bad connection

Has anyone ever had this issue and fixed it?

Mine is the same - only the passenger side works.

Quite right.

From Rave:
The energised HFS relay (C0994) provides a feed to fuse A and fuse B (C1860) on a pair of
NW wires. Fuse A (C1860) provides a feed to the LH screen element (C0247) on a PS wire.
Fuse B (C1860) provides a feed to the RH screen element (C0246) on a PW wire.

C1860 is a connector in the engine compartment.
The fusebox diagram shows a fuse for the HRW (heated rear window) but doesn't give any clues as to where Fuse A and Fuse B of the HFS (heated front screen) are.
Are they likely to be part of the connector maybe?

Aren't they a small box tacked on the side of the ECU box in the engine compartment? I'm sure that is where my owners manual shows them.

I don't have an owner's manual.
So in the picture I attached (from Rave), the fuses are in that connector?

Here you are. Page from owners manual.

I bought a manual for my year of car as it didn't come with one. I can be a little anal like that. Also bought a brochure covering my year as well.

Fantastic, thanks! :)
Looks like I'll have to get a manual seeing as the car is so different from my last one.

Unfortunately that fuse seems fine.
I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
