My heated rear window had been blowing fuses and whilst i was fitting a remote temp gauge and coolant level sensor which required the removal of kick trim panels around the pedals decided to investigate.
Armed with Rave wiring diagrams and connector drawings that had been advised the wise men on here made a start.
But initially looked at the rear door itself and the flexing wires by the pivot. As more likely to be a moving wire that goes wrong rather than the fixed ones at the front.
But what i appear to actually find is that the wire from the pivot through the large flexible conduit up to the heated rear window was in fact trapped and squashed behind a large reinforcing bar behind the top two locating bolts inside the door.
Just about able to feel it reaching up inside the door.
Must have been like this from new as the door plastic sheet was all intact in original state. Until i cut it off. Must have worked for a bit then eventually broke through the insulation. So easily replaced and working. Kept checking for an hour after repairing as i was checking for leaks on coolant and left still working. Hopefully easy win.
