Headlight renewal.
This is a nice easy job to do, so heres how Ah did it
The headlight
Firstly Ah removed the side light and indicator lenses .
Undid the screws holding the bases on and pulled them through a bit
Next Ah removed the two screws holding the cover on and moved it out of the way
To remove the headlight, Ah took out the screw on the bottom right (4 5 oclock) and DIDNT touch the ones at 9 and 12 oclock as these are the adjuster screws. If ye look at the rim ye should see a couple of hooked slots, these are what hooks onto the adjuster screws .
Then its just a case of popping the headlight out and disconnecting the wiring from the bulb .
Once out, it was just a case of removing the chrome ring / rim .
(For some strange reason, this one didnt have a rubber boot around the bulb or clips to hold the ring / rim onto the headlight so this is just a wee photie to show what it shouldve looked like )
Anyways, once Ah replaced the headlight it was just a case of sticking the rim back on and sticking on some clips Ah found .
Hooked the unit back on to the adjusters and stuck in the wee screw
Loosely fitted the trim and stuck the side light and indicator back on ( might be an idea to check the earth strip and screw in the lamps to make sure they are clean at this point ) .
A quick test to see if everything was working
And thats it, job done
