Evening,

Apologies as ever for my lack of technical knowledge.

Looking at replacing a Philips head unit (from 1999 Disco tdi Safari), and have finally dragged it out - see photo below. I'm a bit confuzzled by the connectors - I recognise that the main ones are standard ISO 10487, but I didn't expect so many connections.

Is anyone able to direct me towards a vaguely compatible head unit (with or without appropriate adapter)? By vaguely compatible I mean one that feeds into all the speakers (including, if possible, the rear door ?subwoofer). I'm sure that compatibility with the underseat CD player won't be possible, so I'm prepared to give up on that - and on the steering wheel controls (never saw the point of them anyway, tbh).

I can provide further photos if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Iso and third socket ignore

Sony I seem to remember did compatible steering wheel controls

What ever make of head unit u decide on just make sure that is compatible with the steering wheel remote if you require that function, if so u will need a patch/interface lead.
Also you will require a head unit with a pre amplified output (most have) for the audio to the sub, the wiring for the two power supply feeds (permanent and switched) for the sub amplifier are there all you have to do is connect then to the head unit via the iso socket
