hi i had the car serviced 4 weeks ago new plugs coils filter all the usual for a 60000 service (freelander 1.8)
i did coment on the amount of water it uses.
on way home last nite the head gasket went.
surely the garage should of noticed some thing when they changed the oil
what do i do to a tackle the garage or put it down to bad luck.
the rac have said they dont thing i have caused any damage as i only done about half a mile at 30mph
is the gasket a major job never had any thing like this go before
also the report from the garage said mixtures out dont even know what that could mean.

Hgf is a relatively easy job, but it is likely to happen again. This engine is notorious for it ( but some peeps say it's down to poor maintenance). Make sure yu to the job proper. New oil rail, mls gasket, remote thermostat and an electric water pump.
Nothing is guaranteed.
