I am just in the process of changing the head gasket on my '96 300tdi. I have decided to change all the gaskets and want to know do I use gasket seal for the P-Gasket or not?

Use a pressed metal version of the P gasket, not the crap cardboard one. I used a metal gasket with some hylomar sealant on either side of it, not leaked a drip yet!

Cheers I have the metal one just wasn't sure If I was to use sealant.
