I am about to change the Head Gaskets on my 2003 Discovery Mk2
4ltr Petrol
Having never done this before but being a time served diesel mechanic,
I am happy enough doing the job but wondering if there is anything I need to do ie lock off the Timing etc
Any advice would be appreciated

Why its only information on a V8 engine requested, why not the it's A V8 Mate forum

True. See how it goes. If yer dunt get the help yer need then we have several disco v8 owners who will help. Not everyone ventures out of the vehicle specific tech sections.

Follow the workshop manual... being a mechanic you know that already

Since your a mechanic, is same as V8 diesel headgasket change, except you put petrol in it.
