Hi my 2003 td6 range rover shows fault message HDC INACTIVE but only briefly with just enough time to read message, this has only happened a few times when starting for the first time, any thoughts, Regards John.

this is a sign of a low battery, i have the same thing if my car has been sat for a day or two.

Charge or replace the battery, as Matt say's it's one of the first signs the battery is low on charge, turn the steering wheel lock to lock a few times, and it should dissapear
