TD4 - 2002
Firstly my apologies for creating another thread on the above topic. I’ve trawled through previous threads and my issue isn’t covered.

In brief, I have the three amigos permanently on and the HDC won’t work. The HDC switch has power. The HDC relay seems to be good although the voltage across the switched poles isn’t anywhere near 12v. Any thoughts?

Hi,

The lights are indicating an issue.
You should use a fault reader to read the OBD codes.

Regards

Fault reader is an option I’ll have to go down unless someone indicates a potential area to examine next. Seems odd to me that HDC isn’t working

Hi, it only needs one dodgy ABS sensor or wiring to it or the reluctor ring in any of the hubs to be rusted away & it will throw the three amigos on, as said best put it on diagnostics to first so you know where to look.
If you intend on keeping it the investment in a diagnostic reader will pay for itself. I personally use a Foxwell NT530 for my FL1 & D2.

Thanks for the steer on a reader. I’ve been researching them and it’s a little confusing with Nodge suggesting his icarsoft isn’t quite up to scratch
