Hi Landy lovers, :)

I am thinking of getting my own diagnostics tool and there are three that seem to be a good bet for home mechanics. In my opinion they are the Hawkeye; the Nanocom and Lynx. Prices are similar Lynx £250; Hawkeye £300; nanocom £380 or thereabouts. I know the lynx needs a laptop and the nanocom has a neat touchscreen but not having used any of them I wouldn't know which would be the best for my 2003 Disco TD5. Help in deciding which one, would be very much appreciated.

Almost any of them, we have Hawkeye, price is sub-£300 these days, look on ebay.

I think Nanocom has one feature not found on Hawkeye, never used Lynx.

You can program keys and the suspension fob with just the internal serial number using a Nano, you need the full barcode for Hawkeye. I think that's the only major difference since Nano was updated to talk to the ABS ECU better.
