Hi everyone, a bit of advice needed please. I'm SORN my 1999 disco td5 and parking it up on the drive for the sole reason of useing a company vechicle on a daily basis. Is there anything i should be doing in preparation for the disco to be staionary for at least 6 months. Any tips would be helpfull.

I find that dampness is a curse, get some silica gel packs and scatter them about, remove anything in fact every thing from the car books jackets rags take out the mats as well and anything else you can think of where moisture can get trrapped, if you can get a mobile dehumidifier on week-end hire you will be amased at how much water it will find, feed the lead in the top of a window and seal it with dry newspaper rolled up to the thickness of the mains lead and jam it in the window as you raise it

if u can't get near it at least twice a wheek to unlock/lock it with the remote, and once a week to start it your BCU might enter in sleep mode and after that u'll need EKA or T4 testbook to remobilise the car... in this case u better disconnect the battery ...and if it has BBUS(battery backed up sounder) fitted the alarm will work without the main battery

Pump the tyres up to 40psi as that's what LR do to their vehicles awaiting an owner on those disused air fields and on dealers forcourts.

Connect a smart charger to the battery.
