Been a long summer of driving; done just over 4000 miles since start of July what with holidays and work, all of it in the Rangey. But something has got me very confused - throughout all those miles the 4.6 p38 performed faultlessly!! And I mean no problems at all ( not even little ones). No overheating, no strange noises, no electrical gremlins, not even a hint of an eas fault.:eek:
It performed like a luxury 4x4; comfortable ride and a pleasure to drive. I even found myself on a few occasions concentrating on the road ahead with both eyes (instead of one eye on the temp gauge, one eye on the eas lights, and the wife telling me which way to turn).
I can only conclude that I've either been transported back to 1998 or more likely, I've nicked someone else's Range Rover by mistake. So if someone lost their rioja red 4.6 p38 in Morrisons car park at the start of July, then I'm very sorry. You're not getting it back.:p

LOL....good to hear.
They do behave occasionally. Mine has been good so far this year (12k miles). Doing my usual drive to London tomorrow morning so hoping i've not cursed it now.

Just back from my London work runs, all fully loaded with my tools. Nearly got taken out by a fat bloke in an ejoke who didn't think looking to his right before pulling out was good driving practice. Just passed the 165000 miles, so maybe the engine is now run in which is why its driving so nicely.:)

350 miles....was that a 120 litre tank ? I get 250ish on a 90l tank but am thinking of fitting a second 90litre somewhere...
Out of interest, Where did you fit your 120l ?

No, mine is a 95ltr tank (get approx 90 ltrs in from empty).
Steady driving down to London & back to Sheffield gives me approx 18mpg so i can just make the journey without a refill.
