In the pics is a copy of a bill for a service he had done in November. There's $2 to a £1, so its £250 for parts and £250 for labour plus tax :eek:

I guess it depends on what parts were fitted. If it was for oil filter, air filter and 6Ltrs of synthetic 10w40 then yes, he's been done. If it was for injectors or the HP pump, then no he wasn't done.
 
I have a few friend in Auckland if they answer me which is not often as not many bother with the internet I will ask them about this garage
 
I asked about that pic' of the invoice and they've put up photos of the work that was carried out.
 
Still seems a bit steep for a service + brake discs (not pads). Seems like they did a thorough job, though.

Shows how a socket set and a few bits and bobs will pay for themselves very quickly.
 
Not so sure its a good idea to change the disc and not the pads. Mind you, that's exactly what I did a while back!

I nearly said the same, but I’ve done it too! A little scuff with sandpaper and away you go.

That said, you might expect a garage to do the right thing.
