Wondered if people have what was there experience?
I ordered a set of defender wing tops as '3mm heavy duty' turned up and there flimsy 2mm and of poor quality!
Said I can send them back at my own cost!!!! So I moaned and then said ok maybe we will pay half the postage?
Surley they should refund me fully as the part they supplied isn't what I ordered?

I had a quick look at their site - they clearly are saying it's 3mm - so I'd be expecting 3mm to be sent to me. If actually the stuff they have is 2mm, then they should refund you the full amount - if they want the product back they should be paying for it.

Distance Selling Regs - Full refund no questions asked within 14 days and the Sale of Goods Act - Item not fit for purpose. Quote the those and they should sort it out. Worst cast call your bank and have them charge back

The returns should be at no cost to yourself ...bit of a cheek to ask you to cover either a) their mistake or b) their trade description is wrong ...either way stick to your guns and insist they pay, not even up for discussion

This is the email they sent me.

'To maintain the expected low pricing materials and specs may vary at times, unfortunately we are reviewing materials currently.

In the event the wing tops are not suitable please return them to us in their original wrapping and we will credit them back to your account.'

Surley they shouldn't be advertising it a 3mm heavy duty if they can't supply it... cheeky gits!!

Quote the Sale of Goods act and unless you get a full refund plus return carriage you'll initiate a charge back, though speak to your bank first.

Are you measuring the raised chequered bit as well? 3mm check plate is around 2mm flat bit.
If you know what I mean? But I guess they would know that and pointed it out to you.

I have a good quality 3mm chequer plate at home. It's the short type which isn't what I want so not using it but this is Deffo 100% 2mm..
They're not evening denying it so they must know haha
