Has anyone had any problems with the solid flywheel instead of the DMF? as ive heard they can be noisey....i was thinking of fitting an LUK conversion kit with rep set pro clutch but if theres a good chance there will be noise from it i will spend a couple of extra £200 and go for a dmf kit so any input or experience of the conversion would be much appreciated, thanks.

I replaced the DMF on my Transit with a solid flywheel, it was a lot quieter than the clanking knacked DMF, gear shifts are better as the clutch no longer drags on the flapping DMF. There is a little more low end vibration and of course rough shifts are not cushioned, just don't let it labour in too high a gear. The DMF is the work of the devil as far as I'm concerned. No problems in the last 10K miles.

Absolutely agree with you.
