Drivers window has dropped and won't go up using the switch. I cracked open the switch pack and checked for water ingress/dry joint. Checked wiring loom through A frame/door jam and cleaned out the connectors. Motor has been tested and works. A few posts talk about anti trap and failed relay within the pack but with little or no follow up about fixes. I see that new packs can be had for £145 from LR Indies or well used knackered examples delivered in newspaper for £150 off Fleebay, what's that all about, am I missing something?
Has anyone ever repaired the internals? I like to repair rather than just give up and replace, helps me understand how stuff works... did it with my P38s and saved a bundle and great confidence booster for RR Ownership, I am assuming the L322 is a complicated beast in comparison?

You could try washing out the switch with Aeroclene 50 or Servisol switch cleaner lubricant.

People just assume that ebay stuff will be cheaper than anywhere else.
I tend to phone my local factors/stealers before using anything off fleebay and then if it is a recognisable part, rather pay a bit more and change locally if it's wrong! With the Merc I found a lot of parts were cheaper from main stealer than on the tinternet, often they would ask me to quote the reference on their fleebay alter ego account.

I gave the switch and connectors a liberal flush with electrical cleaner, mechanically, the switch is fine.... as there are so few moving parts compared to the P38.

Hi all, just curious about this one. I too have a non functioning electric window on drivers door, everything else is working on the switch pack. Is there a fix for it? Is it confined to any one of the 2 pcbs? 07 Vogue 3.6.

Couldn't find a fix... poor design/placing means water gets in and they get knackered! Easier just to replace it.

modern electronics are often imposable to repair simply because the parts are not available to the public

Thanks JimmacD and badfluffy for the feedback, it is certainly not desirable as buying a secondhand unit will have a high likelihood that it too will have the same problem going forward and buying a new unit is very prohibitive from a cost point of view. Might look at getting one in the US and seeing if the circuit boards are interchangeable with the enclosure of existing RHD switch pack. They seem to be cheaper over and also possibly had a life of less moisture ingress. Thanks again!

If it works.. it works! I fitted a second hand switch pack for £40 and that was three years a go. They don't fail through wear like the P38 switches. Don't buy from a smoker, they, like me travel with the window down in all weathers and the windscreen washers can dump water in. I would just buy a second hand unit, it's a lot easier than doing an Electronics degree!

Chap near me in Boston UK, not the Umercan knock off, is just starting to break an L322... I know there are loads being broken but this one has just come off the road due to needing a brake line and the owner can't be bothered putting it back through an MOT so stuff is working rather than lying around in a shed.... He is on facebook market place, listed in Boston, silver priced at £1350 breaking. He has got a switch pack although older than your 07 it should be a straight swop. I really wouldn't bother trying to fix your old one, life is too short!

Has any water gotten near it ?
I was driving in my X5 one day 3 years back rear window dropped it was raining, passenger window dropped it was still raing ! then I realised I were smoking and the drivers window open and water had got under the trim, dried out and fine ever since.
