does anyone have a hand brake indication light on their series 3? i've found a simple switch mechanism attatched to the bottom of my hand brake but its not wired to anything, there's no lamps on the dash for it either.

i've had a look through the series 3 parts book and its not in it either....

its not a major consern really, the landy is currently without an engine, but i was just curious.........

Never been offered on a Series motor, but I've often thought about fitting a switch and light, shouldn't be difficult.
Sounds like an unfinished project.

it looks in keeping with the other landrover electrical bits although the switch itself has a fundamental flaw, when the switch is closed the circuit is completed with a piece of plastic..... unless a bit has fallen off!

.....this would let you know that you have indeed pulled the handbrake on and some other method of stopping your landy is now required as said handbrake is ****e!! a brick on a string is always good!
