well not till i have a tank guard lol

a tank guard aint the only thing - it can rip off rear quarter panels as well as smashing windows (DV broke rear quarter light last time we went that way).
If yu are unfortunate to meet others coming the other way, yu might, like we did, have to reverse section..(3.57 - 3.12 on vid)............ now that is a real **** :(.
Just a small point - the section immediately after 3:12 is at such angles (l&R) that the only thing stopping the motor falling over is the fact that the side of the vehicle is dragging along the bank.

i do a few runs south of Bstoke from time to time - nothing major, but a good 3 or 4 hours run. - :search: for Basingstoke freds.

Broke my rear diff on my old 200tdi disco down water lane...!!. Still lots of others in that area, Will be out lane roping on Saturday if anybody wants to join in..!!

Its not that bad, we did it up and down last month and my mate was in a standerd disco with AT tyres and diff guards and there was no major damage until my girlfriend wanted a go on the end part and decided she didnt like the paint so scraped it off on a tree. being able to read the ground is the best weapon down there, so i wouldnt say its a noob route still

it depends a lot on the weather and luck. Its definitely a lane to "do" - just maybe not to do too many times :D

and not in a '53 plate Rangie ;)

id love to do water lane with someone n see it , if anyone ever wants to go and a passenger id love to ?

gil/everyone..

im in the portsmouth area and im up for going out n about, i now have a nice p38 that im up for light/non heavy laning in and more exploration and fun with no damage risk, than heavy/damage risk off roading or lanes like water lane etc, dont want to bugger it up or scratch the buggery out of it, but id love to go out n about with you guys n find some places to take it etc and learn about green laning, as im a total novice really

only places ive been local are a bit up by walderton/kingley vale area and the trundle in lavant which is fun and light but a nice long climb with fantastic scenery up to the top which has splendid views out over goodwood estate- a top place to take some lunch etc (google it)

views from the top

climbs a couple of miles up a track like below, some smooth like the pic, some goes through rocky river beds and cragggly rocks, and multi leveled bits near the top you can go up and down and some bits that can be quite testing if you dare and have a bit of an off road drive in nice open space , its a nice drive
