Hello, I probably won't be any help but I really like your handle, I've a friend who can't close a box of Malteasers once opened, he's called Mustavanuther.....

If a dead switch shorting out, would there be a dash message to say door is open?

Has someone been playing with interior lamp switch? Press centre button on interior lamp for five seconds or more. To cycle lamp function.

I sometimes get this problem, I think it's a dodgy door switch. Try opening and closing each door to see if the light goes out.

There was in my car, KingMustafa hasn't said there wasn't in his.

Neither has he said there was. If there is no door ajar message the interior lights need to be set by pressing the middle button to cycle the functions.

You learn something new every day, the trouble is I forget it again a few days (or hours) later.

Dusty climate, sand will be in every switch, but the door plungers would be my 'go to' as it's mechanical and probably mashed up internally.
