....and then it went. Trundling about Brum today and, out of nowhere, I picked up a death wobble at 45mph which got worse as I increased speed. Real teeth rattling, steering shaking stuff. Drove at 40 and parked up for a pee (related maybe) had a poke around and nothing obviously wrong (nuts tight, pressures even, suspension visually all intact). Drove on and it had disappeared, mystery!

Any experience of same? Advance warning of things to come?

Let me know your expert views - will be under it with a pry bar later tonight....

Panhard rod bushes, no question about it. Don't bugger about with anything else till you get em changed.

So this must be the infamous ‘Death Wobble’ - never previously experienced in all the years of Defender abuse....

On closer inspection the Bushes are shot to bits - only a small amount of rubber left around the insert.....

Now the weather has turned pants, let’s lie on the drive for a while with spanner’s....:p

Thanks @rodeojoe
